A devoted fan of popular singer Diljit Dosanjh has taken the drastic step of sending a legal notice after being unable to secure tickets for his upcoming Dil-Luminati India tour. The fan, who identified herself as Riddhima Kapoor, is a law student from Delhi. Disappointed and frustrated by the ticketing process, she has accused the event organizers of unethical practices and violating consumer rights.

Fan Sends Legal Notice Over Ticketing Issues

According to a report by Free Press Journal, Riddhima Kapoor, in her legal notice, highlighted various discrepancies in the ticketing process. She alleged that there were manipulations in the ticket pricing and irregularities during sales, particularly for the upcoming Dil-Luminati tour. The subject of the legal notice read: “Manipulation in Ticket Prices, Unlawful Ticket Sales, and Black Marketing for Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati India Tour.”

Allegations of Black Marketing and Consumer Rights Violations

Riddhima accused the organizers of selling the concert tickets earlier than the announced time. While the official ticket release time was set for 1:00 PM on September 12, she claimed that tickets became available at 12:59 PM, allowing some fans to secure them before others. She also mentioned that she specifically purchased an HDFC credit card to avail early bird offers, but was still unable to buy tickets.

The legal notice further emphasized that the rapid sell-out of tickets suggested potential manipulation and black marketing. “This suspicious and abrupt transaction hints at ticket hoarding and price manipulation,” the notice stated. Riddhima argued that this practice violates the Consumer Protection Act of 2019 and constitutes an act of bad faith by the organizers.
