Police Take Immediate Action Following Social Media Outcry

As soon as the video surfaced and began spreading rapidly across social media platforms, concerned citizens took to Twitter (now known as X) to demand Gadhigappa’s arrest. One user tweeted, “Dear @BlrCityPolice, this individual has openly issued threats on social media. People like him create an atmosphere of fear. He should be arrested immediately and the matter thoroughly investigated.”

Bengaluru police wasted no time in responding. They swiftly tracked down and arrested Gadhigappa in the Kadugodi area. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Whitefield Division, confirmed the arrest on X, stating, “Deepak, who posted a video instilling fear among the public, has been located and arrested. A case has been registered at the Kadugodi police station.”

Police Stand Firm: “No Tolerance for Online Hate”

In a stern message, the Bengaluru police made it clear that they would not tolerate any form of hate speech or threatening behavior online. The official statement on X emphasized, “Spreading hate online will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Bengaluru is a city of kindness and compassion, not cruelty. Respect it or face the consequences.”
