The musical group American Patchwork Quartet, featuring the celebrated Indian-American singer Falu (Falguni Shah), has earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Folk Album category, adding to the excitement around the 2025 Grammy awards.

The group includes Falu, a Grammy-winning artist herself, alongside accomplished musicians: guitarist and vocalist Clay Ross, multi-Grammy-winning, jazz bassist Yasushi Nakamura, and well-known jazz drummer Clarence Penn. Together, they bring diverse backgrounds and profound talent to American Patchwork Quartet, which has garnered attention with this prestigious nomination.

Expressing her gratitude, Falu remarked in a statement to PTI, “I feel honoured and blessed to be the first Indian female artist to be nominated in the Best Folk Music category with my group, American Patchwork Quartet.”
