Mumbai-based young actress Kadambari Jethwani has alleged mistreatment and harassment by senior leaders of the YSR Congress Party and top police officials. Speaking live on a popular television channel, she broke down while revealing that Kukkal Nageswara Rao, the former District Council President of Vijayawada, his son, several YSR Congress leaders, and senior police officials had abducted her.
The actress shared that Vidyasagar frequently sent her obscene messages. He would make calls on WhatsApp and appear nude in selfies. She said she was treated very poorly. According to Kadambari, powerful leaders of the Andhra Pradesh government and top police officials formed a gang and inflicted cruelty upon her.
Jethwani claims she was kidnapped and held captive for a significant period, during which she experienced severe mistreatment. She described those days as nothing short of hell. She didn’t speak to anyone for six months. She was threatened with death if she disclosed the incidents to anyone. She was abducted from Mumbai and taken to Vijayawada. Her mobile phones and her parents’ phones were confiscated, and her relatives were also threatened.
Kadambari Jethwani stated, “I could only speak out fearlessly after Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister.” She also revealed that she was imprisoned for over 45 days on false charges.
Speaking to the TV channel, the actress said, “My elderly parents were mistreated. They created fake documents and kept me in custody for almost 45 days, subjecting me to brutal torture. If such incidents still happen today, where is the freedom for women? Those who commit such atrocities against a girl should be immediately arrested. If such IPS officers are not yet apprehended, what is going on? Do IPS officers engage in such heinous acts?”
