However, now she is backing Vinesh wholeheartedly.
Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the final match of the 2024 Paris Olympics due to being 100 grams over the weight limit. Following this, support for Vinesh poured in from Bollywood celebrities and politicians alike. It has also been reported that Vinesh has announced her retirement.
Kangana Ranaut Takes a U-Turn
When Kangana Ranaut learned about Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification from the 2024 Paris Olympics, she posted in support of the wrestler. Kangana shared a photo of Vinesh on her Instagram story, depicting Bharat Mata standing behind Vinesh. Along with the photo, Kangana wrote, “Don’t cry, Vinesh. The entire nation stands with you.” Additionally, Kangana shared a current photo of Vinesh, calling her a “lioness.”
Earlier Congratulated with a Jibe
Previously, Kangana Ranaut had congratulated Vinesh Phogat for reaching the final of the 2024 Paris Olympics, but with a touch of sarcasm. Kangana posted, “I pray that India gets its first gold medal. I have lost. Forgive me, your dream and my courage have both shattered. I have no strength left. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024.
