Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui may soon face legal trouble after the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) filed a letter to Mumbai Police Commissioner and Maharashtra’s Director General of Police. The organization has demanded that a case be registered against Siddiqui and Big Cash Poker owner Ankur Singh, accusing them of tarnishing the image of Maharashtra Police.
In a recent advertisement for the online gaming platform ‘Big Cash Poker,’ Siddiqui is seen portraying a police officer, which HJS claims damages the reputation of the police force. The social welfare wing of HJS, known as ‘Surajya Abhiyan,’ is leading the charge, demanding immediate action against Siddiqui for what they deem an irresponsible portrayal.
The letter expresses concern over the ad, stating, “It’s alarming that the same police department that cracks down on gamblers is being misrepresented in this manner. Surajya Abhiyan strongly condemns this as it harms the image of Maharashtra Police. Ignoring such misuse of police uniforms in ads could lead to more unethical and illegal advertising.”
