In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shekhar Suman expressed his anger, stating, “It is unfortunate that people are using freedom of expression to justify vulgar comments. Making such obscene and disrespectful remarks about parents damages the social fabric. People like them should be expelled from the country and never allowed to return.”
Suman further criticized the trend of roast comedy, saying that comedians have crossed all limits under the guise of humor.

Shekhar Suman also urged the government to take immediate action against such shows and ban them permanently. He said, “Freedom of speech doesn’t mean you can create content filled with profanity and vulgarity. The government must step in and shut down such shows before they poison society.”

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) later intervened, leading to the removal of the video from YouTube.
