Mamta Kulkarni Reinstated as Mahamandaleshwar After Guru’s Decision: Bollywood actress-turned-spiritual leader Mamta Kulkarni recently made headlines after resigning from her position as Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada. However, in a new twist, she has now withdrawn her resignation, stating that her guru, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, did not accept it.

Two days ago, Mamta shared a video on Instagram announcing her decision to step down, citing internal disputes within the Kinnar Akhada. She expressed disappointment over the ongoing conflicts. However, after discussions with her guru, she has now resumed her role as Mahamandaleshwar.

From Bollywood to Kumbh Mela: Mamta’s Spiritual Journey

On January 24, Mamta Kulkarni was formally appointed as Mahamandaleshwar during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. She was given the spiritual title Shriyamai Mamta Nand Giri and spent around seven days at the event. Despite initially resigning on February 10, she has now reaffirmed her commitment to the spiritual path.

Mamta stated that her decision to resign was driven by deep emotions, but her guru’s guidance made her reconsider.

Facing Allegations of Drug & Underworld Links

Mamta Kulkarni has been no stranger to controversies. Over the years, she faced allegations linking her to the drug trade and the underworld. Some members of the Kinnar Akhada reportedly opposed her, questioning her past associations. However, she defended herself, stating that she has dedicated 25 years to spiritual practice and deeply respects her guru.

A New Life Beyond Bollywood

The former actress clarified that she never intended to return to Bollywood and had left the film industry 25 years ago. Choosing a spiritual path, she pledged her life to Sanatan Dharma and the Kinnar community.

Accusations & Mamta’s Defense

Several allegations have surfaced against Mamta, including financial dealings and underworld connections. However, she denied these claims, stating that no one gave her money and that her inclusion in the Kinnar Akhada was done through proper procedures and rigorous tests.

Mamta also mentioned her 2013 book, ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’, where she explained her reasons for quitting the film industry. She wrote,
“Some people are born to serve the world, while others are born for God. I was born for God.”
