Rupali Ganguly, known for her stellar performance in Anupamaa, finds herself at the center of a major controversy. Her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, has accused her of causing emotional distress during childhood. The claims sparked a storm, leading Rupali to file a defamation case worth ₹50 crore against Esha. Sana Raees Khan, a lawyer who gained fame through Bigg Boss 17, has stepped in to represent Rupali in court.

A recent court decision brought relief to Rupali’s camp. Sana confirmed they had secured interim relief, ensuring that no false or harmful content would be circulated across any platform. She expressed, “Presently, we are very happy with the order we have got. It’s a relief and such a victory.” She also mentioned that Rupali had maintained grace throughout the ordeal, fighting to protect her reputation.

When asked about the possibility of settling the dispute or discussing it privately with Esha, Sana dismissed the idea. She made it clear that no such conversations were taking place.

The controversy erupted after an old post by Esha resurfaced online. The accusations soon gained traction, prompting Ashwin Verma to step forward in support of his wife. Esha alleged that Rupali had taken her mother’s jewelry and harmed her physically and mentally. She claimed these incidents had left deep emotional scars. She further revealed that she felt unsafe around both Rupali and Ashwin, even sharing multiple videos on social media to back her statements.

Esha did not hold back against her father either. She accused Ashwin of being abusive and insisted that Rupali had been romantically involved with him before marriage. The allegations shocked many, leading Rupali to take decisive legal action on November 11. The actress moved forward with a defamation lawsuit, asserting that her character had been unfairly maligned.

Sana later disclosed that Esha had removed the controversial posts and even deactivated her Twitter account after legal steps were taken. For those unfamiliar with the family background, Ashwin K. Verma had two previous marriages before tying the knot with Rupali. Esha was born from his second marriage to Sapna.

Meanwhile, Sana Raees Khan is making waves beyond the courtroom. Having gained recognition from her time in Bigg Boss 17, she is preparing for a return to television. However, for now, her focus remains on defending Rupali and ensuring justice prevails.
