Currently performing in the USA, Samay Raina had requested to record his statement via video conferencing. However, Maharashtra’s Cyber Department denied his request while granting an extension. Now, the comedian must personally appear in Mumbai on March 11, 2025, to record his statement. Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Makheja are required to appear on March 6.
Revised Summons for Allahbadia, Makheja & Others
Ranveer Allahbadia informed NCW that he has been receiving death threats, requesting a rescheduled hearing. The commission granted his request, summoning Allahbadia, Apoorva Makheja, Ashish Chanchlani, and Tushar Pujari on March 6. Additionally, Jaspreet Singh has been directed to appear on March 10.
Allahbadia Seeks Supreme Court Intervention
Earlier, Ranveer Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court seeking relief from multiple FIRs filed against him across various states. His legal team has petitioned for all cases to be consolidated into one for a streamlined judicial process. The Supreme Court is expected to hear the matter on February 21.
