On March 17, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell issued a second summons, requiring him to appear for questioning on March 19. The case is linked to the controversial remarks made on his show ‘India’s Got Latent’, which have led to multiple FIRs across different states.

According to news agency ANI, Raina had already received a summons earlier, but authorities have now called him again for further investigation.

Controversy Surrounding ‘India’s Got Latent’

The issue stems from an episode of India’s Got Latent, where Ranveer Allahbadia allegedly made obscene remarks about a contestant. The incident sparked widespread outrage, resulting in multiple FIRs across India. Several comedians, including Apoorva Makheja, were also present during the controversial episode.

Following the backlash, Maharashtra Cyber Cell questioned the individuals involved, and with the latest summons, Raina is expected to clarify his stance.

In light of the ongoing legal troubles, Raina’s much-anticipated Delhi show, ‘Unfiltered Delhi’, which was set to take place at Talkatora Stadium on March 21 and 23, has been canceled. Reports suggest that tickets were sold out on BookMyShow, leaving fans disappointed after the sudden cancellation.

With this latest summons, it is evident that the controversy surrounding ‘India’s Got Latent’ is far from over, and Samay Raina’s troubles seem to be escalating.
