In a candid revelation, Bhojpuri actress Sambhavana Seth discussed her heartfelt desire to become a mother amid the challenges she faces, particularly the harsh criticisms from her in-laws and society. During a recent podcast with Debina Bonnerjee, Seth opened up about the constant remarks she endures, despite appearing cheerful and carefree in her vlogs where she dances and sings.
Seth recounted an incident at a wedding in Gorakhpur, where her joy was overshadowed by unsolicited comments from some women. One particular neighbor approached her, insinuating that she should have children by now. “If it was meant to be, wouldn’t I have already done it?” she expressed, revealing her frustrations.
She further highlighted the insensitivity of such remarks, stating, “What does my inability to conceive have to do with how my mother-in-law feels sitting alone?” This interaction left her feeling deeply hurt, especially as she suffers from arthritis and struggles with her health despite appearing outwardly fine.
Seth has previously shared her attempts at conceiving through IVF, which have unfortunately not been successful. At 45, she finds herself in a tough emotional space and has chosen to surrender her hopes to divine intervention. Having married screenwriter Avinash Dwivedi in 2016, Seth is also five years older than her husband, adding another layer to the societal pressures she navigates as she plans for a family.
