Sara Gurpal Casting Couch: Popular Punjabi singer and actress Sara Gurpal, who gained fame through her appearance on Bigg Boss 14, has recently opened up about the dark side of the Punjabi film industry. In an interview with Times Now, she revealed how the industry has betrayed her and how its work culture has left her disillusioned.

Despite being in the industry for over a decade, Sara says she still hasn’t been given the respect she deserves. Speaking about her experiences, she addressed the issue of casting couch, saying that things have only worsened over the years. Many new actresses are asked to compromise for roles, highlighting the exploitation that continues behind the scenes.

During the interview, Sara Gurpal shared a shocking incident, saying, “I have received indecent proposals from big stars in the Punjabi industry three to four times. When I was just 18 years old, a 47-year-old director invited me to his hotel room. I was a part of his film, and he told me he had booked a room for us.”

The actress further elaborated, saying, “He asked me to come to his room at 8:30 PM, but I refused and turned down the film because he wanted me to visit his room. After that, I blocked him. Women’s emotions and minds can change at any time, but these men treat young girls like objects to be used and discarded.”

Sara also compared her experiences in the Mumbai film industry, saying that she has always been respected there as an actress. However, in the Punjabi film industry, actresses do not receive the same treatment. She criticized the industry for not giving opportunities to young talent, noting that many cliques prefer to work with the same actors over and over again, making it hard for newcomers to break in.
