Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, renowned not just in India but across the globe, is set to be honored with the prestigious ‘Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno award ‘at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. The award recognizes his exceptional contributions to global cinema, with over three decades of a stellar career and more than 100 films to his name.
Shah Rukh Khan departed for Switzerland yesterday, where the award will be presented to him on August 10. In honor of his outstanding performances, a special screening will also be held at the festival on the same day.

The ‘Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno award’ has previously been awarded to cinema legends like Claudia Cardinale and Harry Belafonte. Shah Rukh Khan, who delivered three consecutive hits in 2023—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki—is the latest recipient of this honor.
