Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married a month ago on June 23. The couple shared inside pictures of their one-month anniversary on Instagram, describing it as a time to “recover” from their wedding and work stress.
Sonakshi and Zaheer posted several pictures on their Instagram, writing, “We celebrated one month of our marriage by doing what we needed most – recovering!!!” The couple shared that they were vacationing in the Philippines, where they spent a week relaxing.
They further mentioned, “In one week, we learned what true health means: listening to our bodies and taking care of our minds. Waking up in nature, eating right, sleeping on time, detox treatments, and plenty of massages – it felt rejuvenating.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer also thanked their friends for the “life-changing experience” and those who made their stay comfortable. In one picture, Sonakshi and Zaheer are seen having fun in the pool.
Other photos show them enjoying delicious food and drinks. Some pictures feature them posing with the staff at The Farm at San Benito, where they stayed.
Sonakshi and Zaheer had a private wedding on June 23 after dating for seven years. Later, they hosted a party for their close friends and family. Sharing their wedding photos, they wrote, “Seven years ago on this day (23.06.2017), we saw love in each other’s eyes and decided to hold onto it. Today, that love has guided us through all challenges and victories… bringing us to this moment… where with the blessings of our families and our gods… we are now husband and wife.”
However, there was some drama at their wedding as many noticed that Sonakshi’s brother, Luv Sinha, was absent, while her parents and another brother were present. In an interview with Galatta India, Zaheer also revealed that he wanted to flee abroad but realized their marriage wouldn’t be legally recognized outside India.
