Three-Month Delay in FIR: A shocking case has emerged from Thane, near Mumbai, where a Bollywood actress has accused the police of ignoring her sexual harassment complaint for three months. Frustrated with inaction, the actress approached the Bombay High Court, which then directed the police to register an FIR. The police have now initiated an investigation into the matter.

Serious Allegations Against Businessman and Associate

According to media reports, the actress has alleged in her petition that she met Jubilant FoodWorks Chairman Shyam Sunder Bhartia at a hotel, where he invited her to Singapore. On May 18, 2023, she was allegedly drugged and raped. His associate, Pooja Singh, reportedly recorded the incident and later used the video to blackmail the actress.

Fraud and Financial Exploitation

The actress has also accused Pooja Singh of fraud. She was promised a director’s position in a company along with an investment of ₹50 crore. However, only ₹9.44 crore was transferred to her account without her consent by March 18, 2024.

Repeated Blackmail and Hotel Meetings

The victim claims she endured continuous harassment for three days and was blackmailed into meeting the accused multiple times in Mumbai and Delhi hotels. She initially filed a complaint with Thane Police on November 11, 2024, but no action was taken, forcing her to seek legal intervention.

Now that the FIR has been registered, the police have assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
