Swapna Waghmare CCTV Video: A burglary has taken place at the home of Swapna Waghmare Joshi, a renowned director of Marathi films and TV shows. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The thief scaled the drainage pipe to break into Joshi’s apartment, which is located on the sixth floor. In the middle of the night, while everyone was asleep, the thief, dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, climbed up to the sixth floor of her building and entered the house through a French window.

Following this incident, Joshi filed a complaint with the Amboli police. She lodged a complaint against an unidentified person, leading the Amboli police to file an FIR on August 26 under sections 305 (burglary), 331(3), and 331(4) (forced entry or housebreaking) of the Indian Penal Code.

Every movement of the thief was captured on CCTV. According to the police report, Joshi’s 3BHK flat is located on the sixth floor of Windsor B Building in Andheri West, near Shabari Hotel on SAB TV Lane. On August 25, at approximately 3:17 AM, a thief entered Swapna’s house through a French sliding window and started searching the living room for cash or valuables. He then moved towards Joshi’s mother’s room and opened the door.

The thief had only partially opened the door and peeked into the bedroom, where Joshi’s mother was asleep on the bed, with a caretaker sleeping on the floor. Later, he checked another bedroom but couldn’t enter because a dog was inside. So, he headed toward the kitchen and then searched the prayer room.

Joshi’s pet cat woke up her son-in-law, Deven, at around 3:30 AM. Deven went to the kitchen to get some water, and when he sensed something was amiss, he returned to the living room and saw the thief. He chased the intruder, but the thief managed to escape through the window within seconds. The thief was unarmed. The entire incident was captured on the CCTV cameras installed in Joshi’s home.
