Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh gave birth to a baby girl on 8th September, 2024 and shared a picture on their handles with words that read, “Welcome baby girl! 8.09.2024”.
Deepika and Ranveer have been receiving love and wishes from their friends, family, and colleagues over the past few days. Celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and more congratulated the new parents of Bollywood.
Hollywood star, Will Smith also sent his heartfelt congratulations to Deepika-Ranveer for welcoming a baby girl. Smith commented on the couple’s social media post announcing the good news, “Congratulations mama and papa!”.
Back in 2018, Will Smith shared some memorable moments with Ranveer Singh and Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, posting pictures of their meeting on Social media.
He captioned the images, “Learning the ropes of Bollywood from two of the best in the game! @karanjohar & @ranveersingh”.
Since then Smith has maintained a friendly relationship with Ranveer and even sent him a message during the release of ‘Gully Boy’ in 2019.
Praising the actor’s work, Smith said, “Ranveer! congrats, man. I’m Gully Boy. For me, old-school hip-hop here, seeing hip-hop all over the world like that, I’m loving it man. Congrats. Go get them”.
Deepika Padukone’s mother Ujala Padukone visited her daughter and first grandchild in the hospital on Wednesday. Mukesh Ambani also visited to pay the mommy and baby in the hospital.

In an Interview with Vogue Singapore earlier this year, Deepika spoke candidly about her anticipation for motherhood.
She shared, “Ranveer and I adore children. We eagerly await the day when we can build our own family… My family has been a constant source of grounding for me, and Ranveer and I hope to instill those same values in our children”.
Deepika Padukone was most recently seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ . She will soon reunite with Ranveer Singh in the film ‘Singham Again’ that will see the two play cops in Rohit Shetty’s latest instalment in his cop franchise.
