Story:
The word Chhaava symbolizes a lion’s cub, an apt metaphor for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film is set between 1657 and 1689, showcasing Sambhaji’s relentless fight to uphold his father’s vision of Hindavi Swarajya.
The narrative begins with the Maratha victory at Burhanpur, marking the beginning of Sambhaji Maharaj’s heroic journey. After the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the Marathas continued their resistance against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who saw Sambhaji as a formidable threat.
