Director Homi Adajania has attempted to blend all these elements together in his new film ‘Murder Mubarak’ on Netflix. Pankaj Tripathi portrays the role of police officer ACP Bhavani Singh in this Netflix release.
‘Murder Mubarak’ Movie Review
The story unfolds at ‘The Royal Delhi Club,’ where a girl’s cry during a Diwali party startles everyone. The film delves into the glamour and hidden secrets of the wealthy attendees, ranging from film stars to industrialists and royalty. Initially dismissed as an accident, another murder occurs when Leo Mathew (Ashim Gulati) dies suddenly while exercising in the gym. ACP Bhavani Singh investigates, uncovering a web of mystery, suspense, and humor.
While the film features bold scenes, typical of OTT content, it maintains intrigue throughout. Leo Mathew, a charismatic trickster, holds secrets about many club members, making them suspects in his murder. ACP Bhavani Singh’s investigation keeps you engaged, although some of Pankaj’s humor feels repetitive. The star-studded cast, including Vijay Verma, Sara Ali Khan, Tisca Chopra, Sanjay Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia, delivers commendable performances. Although Karisma Kapoor’s appearance is brief, she adds to the allure of the film.
Directed by Homi Adajania, with a well-crafted story by Ghazal Dhaliwal and Suprotim Sengupta, ‘Murder Mubarak’ delivers entertainment, suspense, and enjoyment as promised by its title.
