Nadaniyaan Review: Bollywood’s obsession with star kids continues with Nadaniyaan, marking the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan alongside Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi. The film, streaming on Netflix, tries hard to recreate the magic of college romance but ends up as a glossy Instagram reel without soul.

Storyline: A Predictable Love Triangle

The story follows Piya Jaisingh (Khushi Kapoor), the rich heiress of a South Delhi business family, who hires middle-class but intelligent Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan) as her contract boyfriend to avoid a toxic admirer. What starts as a deal slowly turns into predictable love, with unnecessary confusion and forced emotional drama.

Direction & Screenplay: All Style, No Substance

Director Shounee Gautam, in her debut project, focuses more on aesthetics than storytelling. The film tries to recreate the lavish world of Student of the Year, but with no emotional connection. The unrealistic college setup, blurred backgrounds, and forced luxury make the film visually appealing but hollow.

Performances: Ibrahim Ali Khan Lacks Charm

Despite the grand launch, Ibrahim Ali Khan fails to impress with his wooden expressions and lack of screen presence. His performance feels half-baked, relying more on looks than acting skills. Khushi Kapoor gives a decent effort but is let down by poor writing. Veterans like Diya Mirza and Suniel Shetty deliver better performances but can’t save the weak script.

Music & Dialogues: Forgettable

The film’s music leaves no impact, and the dialogues sound outdated. The repeated mention of “He is Royalty” to highlight Ibrahim’s charm feels forced and cringe-worthy.

Final Verdict: A Missed Opportunity

Nadaniyaan is another example of Bollywood’s nepotism, where star kids are launched without proper preparation. With a weak storyline, zero chemistry, and half-hearted performances, the film fails to leave any mark.
