Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, adored by fans as Priankit, have sparked a wave of concern with rumors of their breakup. The speculations gained traction when the former Bigg Boss 16 contestants unfollowed each other on social media, leaving their followers both confused and disheartened.
Adding to the shock, Ankit has now decided to step away from Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s upcoming show Terre Ho Jaayein Hum. During a conversation with BollywoodBubble, the actor candidly explained his reasons, emphasizing the need for personal time and rejuvenation.
He shared that he opted out of the project, feeling unable to give his best at the moment. “I backed out of the project with Ravi Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself,” he expressed.
Ankit also addressed his thoughts on participating in the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. While acknowledging the offer and having initial discussions with the show’s team, he revealed that the decision ultimately didn’t feel right.
“I’m just taking time for myself, so I’m not thinking about work right now,” he remarked. The actor further reflected on his participation in Bigg Boss 16, admitting he might have joined prematurely.
“I realize I could have waited for a couple of more years. I could have mentally and physically prepared and then gone,” he admitted, highlighting how the experience made him more mindful of his emotional and mental readiness for such reality shows.
The actor firmly stated that his current mental state played a significant role in his reluctance to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi. “This is probably the first time probably, mere mann se nahi aa raha hai ki mujhe karna chahiye,” he said, indicating a lack of personal conviction for the show this year.
Ankit also revealed his belief that reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi demand peak emotional and physical stamina. “Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi is a one-time show, so I would like to give my best,” he said, underscoring his intention to participate only when he feels fully prepared.
The decision to take a step back follows the conclusion of his show Maati Se Bandhi Dor, where he starred alongside Rutuja Bagwe. The show successfully ran for 11 months, marking a significant chapter in Ankit’s acting journey.
While fans may feel disheartened by the uncertainty surrounding Priankit’s relationship, many have extended their support to Ankit for prioritizing his well-being. The actor’s candid revelations have resonated with those who admire his dedication to personal growth and authenticity.
As Ankit navigates through this period of self-reflection, his fans eagerly await his return to the screen, hopeful for new beginnings both personally and professionally. For now, Ankit remains focused on regaining his strength and ensuring that when the right project comes along, he’ll be ready to give it his all.
