Anupama aka Rupali Ganguli’s personal life has been in the public eye for quite some time now. Her stepdaughter Esha Verma’s allegations of theft, giving strange medication to her dad, and bullying had left her in a split. Though she remained silent initially, recently she has filed a defamation suit against her and demanded 50 crore as compensation. To justify the amount her lawyer, Sana Saeed said that she has gone through a lot of physical and mental strain due to this. Her professional image has also been threatened.
Payel Rahtogi criticized her for claiming the amount and dating a married man. She questioned her financial status. Yet her co-actors had supported her in this difficult situation. The producer of Anupama, Rajan Shahi has written a long post in her support on social media. Sharing a photo from the set he has remarked that she has been an inspiration to many. He admired her hard work, dedication, and talent. He also stated that her acting in Anupama has created a history. He said that the sacrifices she has gone through for her work and art that is commendable.
He hailed her for her work on Anupama and wished her to stay confident and walk with a smile. He stated that her work would be her answer to everything she was going through. He quipped, “Anupama is exemplary. Proud of u and always with you.”
Rupali also showed her gratitude to him in the comments. She called him a mentor and stated that this means huge as she has helped him stand tall like Anupama in her difficult times.
For the uninitiated, Esha Verma had also posted a video claiming her allegations and called out his father for not protecting her. She stated there she felt unsafe around her. She also blamed her for breaking her family. Later her father took to social media and said that there was no base for such allegations. And she is just affected by the divorce.
After the case, Esha took down her 13-minute-long video and made her Instagram account private. Rupali Ganguli’s lawyer Sana Saeed referred to this and said this shows her client’s truthfulness and called a partial victory on their part. On November 14th she also shared a video stating she is going to be private for some time and also she wants to move forward now. She informed that she is currently in America and said that she feels protected there. She stated that if anyone is going to be negative with her she’ll block and cut them off. In another post, she stated she would not talk about some specific topic. And she is going offline for some time.
Any development in this incident is raising many eyebrows.
