The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kahlata Hai begins with Armaan reflecting on his responsibilities toward the Poddar family, even though he is no longer with them. Abhira encourages him to check on them. He steps in to resolve some issues at the Poddar house over phone, where Abhira serves him breakfast. As he prepares to leave, he asks her to wish him luck. Abhira, regretting she has no curd for good luck, remarks that she would have fed him if she had it. Armaan reassures her, saying, “You already fed me breakfast. That’s enough.”
Before stepping out, Armaan notices Abhira’s broken footwear. Meanwhile, Rohit observes that the Poddars are struggling without Armaan. When Vidya interrupts, Rohit stands firm, stating that the family’s suffering is due to the elders. Kaveri steps in, demanding that he show respect to Vidya as she is his mother.
Armaan feels guilty about leaving advocacy, believing that Abhira’s struggles are because of his decision. Abhira, however, remains positive, telling him, “I don’t want to be rich. Life would be boring without challenges.” She reassures him that she enjoys the adventure life offers and insists he focus on his interview. As he leaves, his eyes again land on her broken footwear, deepening his guilt.
Upon reaching the interview, Armaan is surprised to see Sanjay as the interviewer. Sanjay questions him about legal matters, prompting Armaan to ask why he is being tested in this field. The manager clarifies that they need a legal expert for their firm. Armaan immediately refuses, but Sanjay requests a private conversation.
Meanwhile, Abhira conducts tuition classes and impresses the children with her teaching skills.
During their conversation, Sanjay tries to provoke Armaan, telling him that he is “nothing without the Poddars.” He goes on to point out that Abhira is managing everything while Armaan remains unemployed. Armaan, unfazed, retorts, “You can’t afford me,” as he demands respect and dignity in exchange of his work before walking away. Later, Sanjay informs Kaveri that Armaan will soon realize how dependent he is on their family.
Despite her injury, Abhira decides not to visit a doctor until Armaan secures a job. She stays hopeful that RK will send money soon. Meanwhile, Armaan finds work at a garage at 10,000 salary per month and successfully earns ₹5,000 in commission. Holding the money in his hands, he feels a sense of accomplishment.
Manisha later meets Abhira, who apologizes on Abhir’s behalf. Manisha expresses her hope that Kiara and Abhir’s marriage will succeed. She also reassures Abhira, saying she cannot hold resentment against her because of Abhir. When Manisha offers financial help, Abhira declines, standing firm in her belief that Armaan will soon find a stable job.
