Ashish Chanchlani, currently entangled in the Ranveer Allahbadia controversy, shared on social media that he is unwell. He was set to host and attend a private screening of Captain America: Brave New World but announced his absence. Fans had been eagerly waiting to see him at the event, but now speculation is growing about the real reason behind his sudden withdrawal. Many believe he is deliberately avoiding the public due to the ongoing controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent.

Taking to Instagram, Ashish expressed his disappointment. He mentioned that he wouldn’t be attending the screening due to health reasons but reassured those selected that they could still go and enjoy the movie. He also conveyed how much he would miss them. The screening was planned for Valentine’s Day, an event he had initially set up for single super soldiers to come together and watch the film. He had promised to be there, watch the movie alongside them, and meet his fans.

The controversy erupted when Ashish appeared on India’s Got Latent, sitting on the panel alongside Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and Jasprit Singh. The show’s organizer, along with all panelists, is now under investigation. An FIR has been lodged, and authorities are actively looking into the matter. The allegations stem from complaints made to the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, accusing them of using offensive language.

Following the outrage, both Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have spoken out. However, Ashish has chosen silence, making no public statements regarding the issue. His lack of response has only fueled further discussions, with many wondering whether his absence from the screening is truly due to health concerns or an attempt to stay away from the limelight.

The particular episode of India’s Got Latent that led to the backlash has been removed from YouTube. Samay Raina later confirmed that he decided to delete all episodes from the platform. This move came after intense scrutiny, and the show’s creators are now facing legal action.

Authorities have begun questioning those involved. Apoorva, popularly known as ‘The Rebel Kid’, gave her statement at Khar Police Station on January 12. Meanwhile, Samay Raina has been summoned twice by Mumbai Police. However, he has requested an extension, citing his ongoing tour in the U.S. and Canada as the reason for his inability to appear.
