The conversation started when Amitabh Bachchan asked Dr. Rani Nang about his famous singer and in reply he took Michael Jackson’s name. That is when Amitabh Bachchan recounted his star-struck movement with Michael Jackson. Big B said, “I was staying at a hotel in New York when one day, I heard a knock at my door. When I opened it, I saw Michael Jackson standing outside. I almost fainted but managed to keep my composure. I greeted him, and he inquired if this was my room. When I confirmed it, he realized he had mistakenly come to the wrong room.”

Amitabh Bachchan added, “After he went to his correct room, he sent someone to reach out to me. We eventually got to sit down and chat. Despite his massive fame, he was incredibly down-to-earth. That’s how our first meeting happened.”

Recalling his experience in the New York concert of Michael Jackson he said, “Michael Jackson had a show in America, and it was quite a challenge to get from New York to the venue. When we reached the hotel, we were informed that all 350 rooms were reserved for Michael Jackson and his team. After much effort, we finally secured seats at the back of the stadium and witnessed his performance. His singing and dancing were extraordinary. The energy in the crown was electric, and the applause was thunderous. It was truly a magical experience.”

These two outstanding people shared that they wanted to become doctors to provide better health to marginal people. They became the ‘Massiha’ for those aboriginal people. Dr. Abhay shared one of the incidents where Dr. Rani had to do a C-section on a lady. For that, she had to first donate blood to the patient and then Dr. Abhay could give her anesthesia, and then only Dr. Rani did the C-section on her. These health struggles are so common in Marginal areas of India. As Amitabh Bachchan correctly put it into words, “Everybody lives for themselves but they have dedicated their life to those Adivasi people. Village people see them as gods.

The episode is also enriched with fun factors. As Dr. Rani said every year she fools her husband Dr. Abhay on April Fool’s Day. And in reply, he said, “But there’s a problem, if you have proved me fool once what is the need to prove it again and again.”
