Kashish Kapoor, recently evicted from Bigg Boss 18, opened up about her turbulent journey in the house during an exclusive interview. She shared her frustrations, highlighting the challenges she faced as a wildcard entrant and the emotional toll of being unfairly portrayed in a controversial incident involving Avinash Mishra.

According to Kashish, entering the show mid-season as a wildcard contestant posed significant hurdles. She felt the narrative was already shaped, leaving little space for her to establish herself. Building genuine relationships was nearly impossible since most housemates had already formed close bonds. Kashish expressed that wildcard participants like her and Digvijay were often reduced to mere additions to the pre-existing storyline rather than individuals with unique journeys.

Reflecting on her time in the house, she mentioned how edited clips often misrepresented her actions. She believed this created false impressions and made it difficult for her to defend herself. Kashish explained how criticism for not forming connections added to the strain, despite the circumstances being beyond her control. Recounting on her own journey she said, “In the end, it seemed as though we were just pieces in their pre-existing storylines rather than individuals with our own journeys.”

The most distressing experience for Kashish stemmed from the widely debated flirting incident with Avinash. She alleged that the narrative was twisted to cast her in a negative light while enhancing Avinash’s image. She vividly said, “I strongly felt that a narrative was being unfairly set against me. Despite having plenty of footage to provide context, they deliberately chose three or four selective clips that portrayed me in a negative light. It’s completely unreasonable to judge a situation that unfolded over 10 days based on a handful of out-of-context, edited moments.” She felt immense pressure to take responsibility for something she firmly believed wasn’t her fault. Kashish described the emotional toll of being blamed, saying it felt like a social death and mental torture.

Kashish pointed out how, despite Avinash being equally involved, she was made to bear the brunt of the controversy. She claimed the footage used to portray the incident was selective and out of context, ignoring the bigger picture. Whenever she attempted to present her side, she was interrupted or dismissed. She remarked that it was unfair to pass judgment based on a few edited clips representing events that unfolded over ten days.

She shared how her efforts to defend herself often backfired. Kashish felt that every attempt to clarify her position led to new accusations, with housemates turning against her. She described feeling cornered, as though she was forced to accept blame for actions she didn’t commit. This constant cycle left her feeling trapped and unjustly vilified.

Kashish also expressed her dismay at the lack of support from other contestants. She felt isolated and lonely, facing taunts, stares, and judgment from everyone around her. The lack of empathy and understanding deepened her feelings of alienation. She mentioned, “The only topic that bothered me was that one line that it was not me who went to create a love angle. There was nothing else but somehow I became the accused and I became the guilty party. I was imprisoned and sentenced to social death, mental torture and what not.”

She mentioned that another contestant, Sara, frequently instigated situations that escalated the drama. Kashish felt that, despite knowing she wasn’t at fault, the housemates pretended otherwise, further isolating her. She struggled with the weight of being misunderstood and unfairly judged throughout her time in the house. She summed up her journey saying, “I was very lonely in the house.”

Reflecting on her journey, Kashish said the experience left her emotionally drained. While she acknowledged the challenges of being a wildcard contestant, she hoped her story would shed light on the pressures and injustices she faced during her stint in Bigg Boss 18.
