In the recent Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar, host Salman Khan delivered sharp observations, focusing on the evolving dynamics between Shilpa Shirodkar and Karan Veer Mehra. Their friendship, which seemed unshakable, was put under the microscope, with Salman questioning whether it was genuine or a strategic façade. He criticised their relation candidly with humour, leaving contestants and viewers reflecting on their actions.
Salman took Karan to task for his “too nice” attitude, suggesting that constant niceness might not always work in one’s favour. Salman also mentioned that if he wuld have been so nice then she wouldn’t have engaged in feud on cooking with others. He pointed out that if Karan’s approach to relationships had always been so passive, his first marriage might not have ended. Karan acknowledged feeling taken for granted, admitting that it wasn’t a new experience for him. “In real life too, I’ve been taken for granted,” he shared, revealing past scars. When asked what happened after that, Karan admitted, “People left me, I didn’t leave anyone.”
Salman wasn’t convinced by Karan’s narrative and accused him of playing the victim card. Karan attempted to defend himself, but Salman dismissed his denial, stating, “Karan, in experience and sensibility, I am far ahead.” He urged Karan to stop enduring silently, warning, “There’s a limit to tolerating.”
The spotlight then shifted to Shilpa, whom Salman suggested was taking advantage of Karan’s loyalty. Salman asked if Karan felt that Shilpa prioritized making Eisha Singh the winner over their friendship during the Time God task. Karan admitted that while he felt sidelined, he valued their friendship enough not to expect anything in return. Salman explained that Shilpa assume that Karan would understand her decisions. Thus she doesn’t care that much about Karan’s feelings.
Salman observed that both Shilpa and Karan seemed locked in a competition to appear great. He compared their behaviour to a race for greatness, quipping, “You both are trying to be gods and goddesses, turning the Bigg Boss house into a temple.”
Vivian Dsena was asked whether Karan’s behavior inside the house reflected his real personality. He dismissed the idea, describing Karan as straightforward outside the show. Meanwhile, Shilpa chimed in, “Many things hurt, but we talk it out.” Salman, however, reminded them both that in the Bigg Boss house, too much patience could be a weakness, not a strength.
In the same episode, wild card contestant Aditi Mistry was evicted after housemates deemed Edin Rose and Yamini Malhotra more deserving. Salman’s candid insights left the house buzzing with introspection, making it clear that in Bigg Boss, playing the nice card could come at a cost.
