Edin Rose, known for her stint as a wildcard contestant on Bigg Boss 18, recently took to social media to share a terrifying experience. She recounted how a stranger in a luxury Jaguar car followed her and a friend while they were traveling in a rickshaw. The incident left her shaken, raising serious concerns about women’s safety.
Sharing her ordeal on Instagram, Edin clarified that her attire had nothing to do with the harassment. She stated, “Other than my fingers and eyes, there is nothing that you can see, have to clear this out before the clothing police comes on here to school me on my clothing.”
She explained that she and her friend were on their usual route from Juhu to Bandra, looking to unwind after a long workday. They were accustomed to being recognized, even with their masks on, but this time, that wasn’t the case. A heavily intoxicated man in a Jaguar started trailing them for nearly twenty minutes, swerving dangerously and keeping pace with them wherever they went.
Edin highlighted how the stalker’s reckless driving endangered others on the road. She revealed that even after she captured his face and license plate, he showed no fear and continued his pursuit. The rickshaw driver, sensing trouble, pulled over. The man, undeterred, stopped his car as well. It was only when she asked the driver to halt near Juhu Police Station that the stalker finally backed off.
Expressing her frustration, Edin connected the incident to a recent controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. She pointed out how the focus should be on women’s safety instead, stating, “Sab jo latent latent kar rahe ho, auraton ki suraksha par dhyan do.”
She went on to investigate the man’s identity using his number plate. Through an online search, she discovered his name and Instagram profile. Despite wanting to expose him publicly, she decided it was best to let the authorities handle it. She stressed that wealth and privilege didn’t give anyone the right to behave this way, saying, “This man was in a Jaguar and comes from money and has the audacity to be a relentless creep, even when he knows he’s being recorded.”
The actress voiced her concern for women who face similar situations daily. She stressed the urgent need to instill fear of consequences in such individuals. She questioned, “What are we actually concentrating on, why is there no fear among these creeps, na law ka dar hai na kuch, as a society what are we doing to make sure our women are safe?”

Edin, who gained recognition after her appearance on Bigg Boss 18, used her platform to bring attention to this pressing issue. Her experience is a stark reminder that women’s safety continues to be a serious concern, regardless of where they are or how they dress.
