Recently, Mohit Parmar, known for his role in the TV show Pandya Store, made a shocking revelation about his friend and actress Prerna Thakur. Parmar disclosed that Thakur became a victim of the casting couch—a term used for exploitation where sexual favors are demanded in exchange for work.

On Friday, Mohit Parmar shared screenshots of WhatsApp messages on his Instagram story, exposing a casting coordinator who asked Prerna to “compromise” in order to secure a role. Parmar warned everyone to be cautious of this individual, stating, “Beware of this person. He is harassing and mistreating women, asking them to sleep with him.”

He further advised, “If he contacts you for casting or you find him in any audition groups, block him, report him, or file a complaint against him. He goes by the name Prem Malhotra.”

The screenshots revealed the casting coordinator asking Prerna if she was willing to “compromise” to get the role. This shocking incident has once again brought to light the issue of the casting couch in the entertainment industry.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. Many actresses have come forward in the past to share their experiences of exploitation. Among them is TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who revealed that she faced a casting couch incident at the age of 19 during an audition for a South Indian film, where she was asked to sleep with someone for a role.
