After the roaring success of Celebrity MasterChef Season One, the makers brought something new for the fans. A special edition titled MasterClass was launched, driven by the overwhelming appreciation from the viewers.

The first few episodes saw familiar faces return. Chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, who were part of the main show, came back as hosts for the MasterClass. Past contestants, homecooks, and celebrity finalists joined in to share insights, stories, and signature recipes.

In one of the latest episodes, Tejasswi Prakash, who had secured the second runner-up title in the main season, returned to the kitchen. This time, not to compete, but to teach. She gave a step-by-step walkthrough of her beloved recipe, a traditional Maharashtrian fish dish. This dish had received much praise during the show. It even earned her a special chef’s knife, gifted by Ranveer Brar for her outstanding presentation.

Tejasswi revealed that Karan, being Punjabi, doesn’t usually like fish. She added, “Karan is a Punjabi so they are not usually very fond of fish. He loves only Maharashtrain style cooked fish. I think fish is something which I usually cook for him and he loves eating it. But he is very particular about eating fish, as he is not a fan of fish so if there is a fishy smell, then he doesn’t like it. So when I cook fish I make sure it smells of garlic, tamarind or fish. That’s why I add a lot of these things.”

Also making a return was Dipika Kakar. A familiar face from the show, Dipika had to exit halfway through the competition due to a serious shoulder injury. Dipika spoke about her recovery journey and the tough decision to leave the show. Though physically away, she never lost touch with the episodes. She admitted to following every moment from home, cheering on the others. Watching the journey unfold helped her stay connected.

She mentioned that her recovery was going smoothly now and that taking time off had helped ease both the physical pain and mental stress. At home, she found comfort and space to heal. Though she isn’t back to cooking regularly, she still enjoys it when the time and mood are right.

This MasterClass episode was more than just about recipes. It brought back stories, emotions, and memories from the competition. For fans, it was a special reminder of the journey that Celebrity MasterChef started and how its flavour continues to linger.
