Fans of the iconic show CID have been eagerly waiting for the day ACP Pradyuman and the new officer, ACP Ayushman, would share the screen. Now, Parth Samthaan, who recently stepped into the world of crime-solving thrillers, has revealed that this much-anticipated moment is finally here. In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, Parth confirmed, “I have shot with him, and we have a scene together. A huge scene, in fact, not a small one. And you will be able to see it this coming weekend. I’m waiting for it because it’s a very good scene.”

Parth spoke openly about working with Shivaji Satam, describing the experience as nothing short of special. The actor shared how the veteran star’s warmth instantly put him at ease. Discovering that both of them are Maharashtrian made it even better. The two spoke in their native language on set, making Parth feel as if he was chatting with an old friend in Pune.

Recalling those moments, Parth said Satam sir was incredibly relaxed and easy-going. His presence on set was powerful yet comforting. The whole crew looked up to him with immense respect, treating him like a father figure. Parth admitted that for him, it felt like being a son sitting beside his father, listening to stories from a lifetime of acting. Spending an entire day shooting together left Parth with memories he’ll always treasure.

Addressing the reactions from viewers about his character, Parth showed clarity and maturity. While some fans have been hesitant to accept ACP Ayushman, Parth understands this comes with the job. He believes an actor can’t control audience opinions but should stay committed to their role. He explained that even negative characters find appreciation if portrayed convincingly. According to him, “The extent to which people hate you defines whether your character is working or not.”

This isn’t the first time Parth has faced comparisons. He reflected on the time when he took on the beloved character of Anurag in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. Back then too, he encountered skepticism, but faith in his abilities saw him through. This experience has made him well-prepared for his current challenge, joining a cult show that’s run for over two decades.

Parth admitted that stepping into CID wasn’t part of his original plan. He said, “I wouldn’t say that it is something I was looking for because it is not my genre.” Known for his roles in rom-coms and intense dramas, crime thrillers were a new territory for him. Yet, he considers it a blessing to be associated with such a legendary show.

He fondly remembered his first day on set, shooting alongside Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava, famously known as Daya and Abhijeet. Even off-screen, he calls them “sir” out of respect, though he addresses them by name while filming. What surprised Parth most about the CID set was its simplicity. Unlike other productions where actors have personal vanity vans, here, everyone shares a common hall, with mirrors lining the walls and a dining table in the middle.

This environment of shared spaces and genuine camaraderie made a strong impression on him. He was moved by the unity among the team and confessed it’s something rare in today’s television industry. He emphasised, “This is the kind of unity I was amazed to see here. This is not seen on other shows. I was very impressed by it.”

When asked about his bond with Dayanand and Aditya, Parth humbly called himself their student, eager to absorb wisdom from their years of experience. Lastly, he revealed that his mother watches him on CID and, while she struggles to follow the complex cases, she still enjoys seeing her son in action.
