Sharad Sankla Responds to Rumors of Leaving the Show
In response to the rumors about leaving ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ Sharad told ETimes, “No, these reports are completely false. I’m not going anywhere and am still a part of the show. The storyline is such that my character will soon return as Abdul. This is all part of the show’s plot. It’s a lovely show, and I’m well-known because of the character of Abdul; it’s a significant achievement for me. Why would I leave the show? I can’t even think of leaving.”
Sharad Sankla Praises the Show’s Team
Praising the show’s team and its producer Asit Kumar Modi, Sharad added, “The production house Neela Telefilms is like family to me, and our producer Asit Kumar Modi is a college friend. I will never leave the show. As long as the show continues, I will be a part of it.”

The show currently depicts the residents of Gokuldham Society being distressed over Abdul’s disappearance. Abdul goes missing because the society members forget his birthday. Consequently, the society members enlist Inspector Chalu Pandey to track Abdul down.
