Elvish Yadav, winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, recently hosted Karan Veer Mehra and Rajat Dalal on his podcast. While their conversation was candid, certain remarks sparked controversy online. Clips featuring Rajat Dalal’s unfiltered opinions created a stir, but soon, Elvish himself faced backlash for allegedly making racist remarks about Chum Darang.

A video snippet of Elvish discussing Chum circulated widely, drawing criticism from social media users. Facing outrage, he decided to address the issue in a vlog. He stated that he had come across Twitter discussions accusing him of making inappropriate comments about the Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. Acknowledging the situation, he admitted to removing the controversial part from his podcast.

He explained, “I had said something about Chum. I don’t care whether I said it or not; I removed it. I don’t want any negativity. If anyone felt bad because of what I said, then brother, I have removed that part.”

Further responding to the allegations, Elvish dismissed claims that he linked Chum Darang to Covid. He criticized those accusing him, calling them foolish for misinterpreting his words. According to him, people assumed he associated Chum’s ethnicity with the virus, which he denied. Clarifying his intent, he remarked that his statement was meant to poke fun at Karan’s choice in women.

He asserted that his comment was not racially motivated. Instead, he had joked that Karan might have lost his taste and smell due to Covid, which was why he found Chum appealing. He insisted that his words were not meant to demean her based on ethnicity.

Elvish also emphasized that he does not condone racism and has never supported those who make prejudiced statements. His explanation, however, did little to appease netizens, who continued to call him out for the insensitive remark.

Meanwhile, Rajat Dalal’s comments on several television personalities also did not sit well with audiences. He made unpleasant remarks about Karan Veer Mehra, Shilpa Shirodkar, Vivian Dsena, Avinash Mishra, and even Eisha Singh, further fueling criticism.

The controversy surrounding Elvish and Rajat has once again highlighted the impact of unfiltered conversations on public platforms. While some fans defended them, many social media users remained unimpressed by their explanations. The backlash serves as a reminder that words carry weight, especially in the digital age, where nothing goes unnoticed.
