Gaurav Taneja, widely known online as Flying Beast, is no stranger to attention. From the cockpit to YouTube vlogs and recently, to the stage of Shark Tank India, Gaurav has worn many hats. But the latest twist in his entrepreneurial journey is making headlines again. Although he didn’t land a deal on the show, his sports nutrition brand Beast Life has now found a significant supporter, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh.
Months ago, Gaurav appeared on the third season of Shark Tank India with his co-founder Raj. The duo showcased Beast Life, a protein powder company they’ve built together. During the pitch, they valued their business at ₹100 crore and offered 1% equity for ₹1 crore. However, things didn’t go smoothly in the tank. Tension arose when Anupam Mittal pressed Gaurav for transparency about the revenue he generates from his social media presence, which he uses as a primary channel to market Beast Life. Gaurav didn’t share the figures. That didn’t sit well with Anupam, who bluntly said, “If you can’t disclose your income, we don’t know what we’re investing in, because that’s your marketing channel.”
The pitchroom energy shifted quickly. Anupam grew more skeptical when he learned that Gaurav had multiple business interests and might eventually take a step back from direct operations at Beast Life. That revelation raised red flags for the investors, and Gaurav and Raj walked away without a deal.
Yet, what didn’t happen on the show seems to be unfolding off-screen now. According to a report by Economic Times, Gaurav’s vision has attracted a different kind of ally. Rinku Singh, the cricket star known for his power-hitting and discipline on the field, has joined hands with Beast Life. This partnership marks a big leap for the company, especially considering the influence Rinku holds among young fitness enthusiasts.
Gaurav took to Instagram to share the news. He posted two photos, one showing him, Raj, and Rinku together, and another zooming in on Rinku’s cricket bat. His caption reads, “0 to 1 journey complete. Let’s build further together!! God’s Plan baby!!”
Speaking about the new collaboration, Gaurav said Rinku was the right fit for what the brand stands for. “Rinku embodies everything Beast Life stands for – discipline, performance and authenticity.” His words reflect a strong alignment between the athlete’s image and the brand’s core message.
Raj also emphasized that this wasn’t just a marketing deal. According to him, Rinku believes in what they’re creating and wants to contribute to shaping fitness in India. He said, “Rinku’s belief in Beast Life goes beyond just a partnership. He aligns with what we’re building and wants to help shape the future of fitness in India. His support is a huge validation of our purpose.”
Rinku, too, shared why he felt connected to the idea. He was drawn to the ambition behind the brand. “What really drew me in was the brand’s vision to make world-class sports nutrition accessible in India,” he said.
With a name like Rinku Singh now linked to Beast Life, Gaurav and Raj seem ready to scale new heights. What started with a bold pitch is slowly turning into something more real, and possibly more impactful, than any investment offer from the Sharks.
