The episode is bringing the portrayal of cinematic universe and real life hardships of an IPS officer.

The spotlight falls on IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, who is accompanied by his mother, wife, and son. His story, which inspired Vikrant Massey’s role in the acclaimed film 12th Fail, is a testament to commitment and sacrifice. The conversation takes a touching turn when Amitabh Bachchan asks Manoj, “The ones who are working for the country as Policemen, how do they celebrate festivals like Diwali?” It is Manoj’s mother promptly replied, “He is never there in any festival. He has never celebrated Diwali, Shravan or any other festival. Even if I want him to, he wouldn’t be there.”

Manoj adds a powerful statement, reflecting on the reality of a policeman’s life. “Sir policewala koi tyohaar nahi mana pata. Till date I haven’t celebrated a single Diwali. Once you wear Khakhee, then you don’t have a religion or caste, you dedicate your whole life to the country as a Policeman. There is no specific time for the duty, some days you work for 12 hours, some days it’s 24 hours and sometimes you don’t come home for 3 days.” The room falls silent, resonating with the weight of his words.

Manoj continues, explaining how police officers must always be on duty, even when others are celebrating. He explained “A Policeman is expected when the citizens are coming out to celebrate a festival then they have to protect them from any mishap. Basically, Policemen are social changers, they bring change in the society.” Amitabh Bachchan is visibly moved. He responds with a heartfelt tribute, saying, “Today, not just in front of you but even to all the Police officers of the country, I fold my hands and thank them from the bottom of my heart.”

The episode also highlights the impact of KBC on aspiring students. When asked how he feels about being on the show, Manoj reflects, “I never imagined that this show would be so beneficial for students preparing for the UPSC. We used to stand at the pan shop or roadside eateries, waiting for 9 PM to prepare for the UPSC through the show…What KBC did was make teachers and parents realize the importance of general knowledge and the need to teach it to children. I consider myself very fortunate to be sitting in front of you today!”

Vikrant Massey, who portrays Manoj in 12th Fail, shares his admiration for Amitabh Bachchan saying, “Sitting on this hot seat and meeting you in person is a huge moment for me…In my nearly 20-year career, this is the first time I’ve had the chance to meet you in person.” To this, Amitabh Bachchan responds warmly, “It feels like we’ve met many times before. Watching your performances, it feels like you’re one of us, like family.”
