Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber, has been at the center of several controversies, which have led to multiple legal cases being filed against him. Despite this, he continues to appear on reality shows like Laughter Chefs 2 and MTV Roadies XX. However, his participation in Laughter Chefs 2 has sparked outrage from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). The organization, which represents workers in the entertainment industry, has strongly condemned Yadav’s involvement in the cooking reality show.
BN Tiwari, the president of FWICE, voiced his strong objections in a letter addressed to the channel airing Laughter Chefs 2. He criticized the promotion of Elvish Yadav and demanded his removal from the show. Tiwari’s letter made it clear that the organization disapproved of Yadav’s controversial behavior and the impact it could have on his large, young following. He pointed out that Elvish Yadav had made derogatory and racist remarks against Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. These comments had led to significant backlash on social media, further intensifying the public’s disapproval of the YouTuber.
In his letter, Tiwari also mentioned that Elvish Yadav had been linked to multiple legal issues. Among the serious charges against him are his involvement in the “snake venom case” and the “rave party case.” Yadav allegedly arranged snake venom at rave parties, which led to legal charges under the Wildfire Act in Noida. Tiwari stressed that Yadav’s actions were highly concerning, especially given his massive online following. The FWICE president expressed worry that Yadav’s influence could encourage young people to engage in illegal activities, undermining societal values.
Tiwari further emphasized, “We strongly condemn all his acts that go against the welfare of society and the values of our country.” He stated that promoting such figures could have a negative impact on the youth, urging the channel to reconsider their decision to associate with the YouTuber. The FWICE also made a plea to the channel to sever ties with Elvish Yadav, calling for his immediate removal from Laughter Chefs 2. They stated that this action would be in the best interest of society and the nation, urging the network to recognize the seriousness of the situation.
While the demand from FWICE was firm, the channel has yet to respond or comment on the matter. Elvish Yadav’s ongoing participation in Laughter Chefs 2 has raised many questions about the entertainment industry’s role in promoting individuals with controversial backgrounds.
One of the more recent controversies involving Elvish Yadav came after his racist and derogatory remarks about Chum Darang, an incident that sparked outrage across social media platforms. His comments offended many, including The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), which condemned Yadav’s behavior. The APSCW’s response further added to the growing tension surrounding the YouTuber’s actions.
In the midst of these controversies, Elvish Yadav continues to appear on MTV Roadies XX, where he serves as a gang leader. The popular adventure show, which has a significant fan following, has further fueled his visibility despite the backlash. His ongoing involvement in high-profile reality shows like Laughter Chefs 2 and Roadies raises questions about the entertainment industry’s stance on accountability and the type of role models it chooses to promote.
