The grand finale of Celebrity MasterChef was a night to remember. It had tension, flavour, and a race to the finish that had everyone watching with bated breath. Each dish came with drama, sweat, and a splash of personality. But in the end, one name stood above the rest.
Gaurav Khanna walked away with the trophy, making history as the first-ever winner of Celebrity MasterChef. His final dish blew the judges away Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and the legendary Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. With that victory, he also took home a cash prize of ₹20 lakh. But more than the money, it was the growth and journey that stole the show.
The finale might be over, but Gaurav’s journey hasn’t paused. He’s back in the kitchen for Celebrity MasterChef MasterClass. In this special follow-up series, the spotlight stays on the stars even after the contest ends. The first episode opened with a walk down memory lane, playing a tribute video that followed Gaurav’s journey from the start.
He watched his beginning unfold on-screen; the rejections, the tough feedback, and the constant push to do better. It reminded viewers how far he had come. Gaurav opened up about the similarity between his acting path and his time on the cooking show. He admitted it was uncomfortable at first. “Jaise wahan par shuruwat mein takleef hui thi, yahan bhi starting mein thoda alag tha. It was a new place and I was not from here. The show was out of my comfort zone.”
Now, though, he jokes that he can’t separate himself from the MasterChef kitchen. It has become a second home. His bond with the show, the set, and the experience is stronger than ever.
Joining him in the episode was Nikki Tamboli, the runner-up, who also shared her reflections and excitement. Their energy brought back the same spark that made the show a hit among online audiences.
Chef Vikas Khanna was also a part of the episode. He stood beside Gaurav not just as a judge, but as someone who clearly admired the growth he witnessed. The two shared recipes with the audience, giving a little taste of what made their dishes special. While sharing his thoughts, Vikas had a heartfelt message. “Mere pehle bhi bohot Khannas aye and mere baad bhi bohot Khannas ayenge,” he said, acknowledging the long line of talent. But he added that Gaurav had earned a special place, and he was proud of his progress.
It wasn’t just about cooking. The MasterClass had moments of humour, reflection, and friendship. The conversations flowed naturally, like people talking around a kitchen table. There was laughter and some light teasing, but beneath all of that was a genuine admiration for each other’s growth.
