Celebrities sharing their health battles often inspire others to do the same. Last year, Hina Khan opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis and documented her journey to spread awareness. Many praised her for breaking the stigma around the disease. Now, she has expressed admiration for Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who fought and survived stage 4 cancer.

Hina recently took to Instagram to share a video of Sanjay Dutt discussing his treatment and the challenges he faced. Moved by his words, she called him a true inspiration and praised his resilience. “Wow, Fourth stage cancer survivor. Six hours he was hung upside down right after his chemotherapy,” she wrote, highlighting the immense strength he displayed.

She reflected on her own cancer battle, saying she deeply resonated with Sanjay’s words. She acknowledged how difficult it is to push forward when everything seems to be pulling in the opposite direction. Without planning to, she had made the same choice to keep living fully despite the hardships. Hina emphasized that every cancer journey is unique, stating that while she and Sanjay chose to fight in a particular way, not everyone can do the same. She extended respect to those who struggled differently, recognizing the strength it takes to endure.

Hina also mentioned several other cancer warriors who had inspired her. She spoke about Rebecca Sperry, who continued hiking through her treatment, and Fabiola Enriques, who ran marathons during chemotherapy. She also mentioned Prachi Kulkarni and Anthony Daniels, who pursued their passions despite their illness. These individuals, she said, showed that there is no single way to face cancer. Each person’s experience is different, even when undergoing the same treatment.

She stressed that chemotherapy affects everyone differently. For some, it might be manageable, while for others, it could be extremely painful. She rejected the idea of a universal experience, saying that even two people with the same diagnosis and medication can have vastly different journeys.

Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August 2020. He underwent treatment in Mumbai and the US. Just two months later, in October 2020, he was declared cancer-free. His journey has since inspired many, including Hina Khan, who saw in him a reflection of her own resilience.

While praising his determination, she also acknowledged those who couldn’t fight in the same way. “There are unsung heroes everywhere,” she said, referring to everyday people who battle cancer while managing jobs and responsibilities. She also highlighted doctors who continue treating others despite their own illnesses.

Hina’s message was not just about survival but about acknowledging every kind of struggle. She wanted to ensure that people understood cancer journeys are personal, and each individual deals with it in their own way. Some fight like warriors in the public eye, while others do so quietly in their own spaces. Both, she insisted, deserve the same recognition and respect.

To add Rozlyn Khan had previously called out Hina Khan for showing deceptive treatment videos and also asked the hospital authority to publish her treatment history. When Ankita Lokhande went on to confront her supporting Hina Khan in her cancer journey Rozlyn lodged a defamation case against her.
