Hina Khan Reveals Emotional Impact of Cancer Treatment: “I Still Have Scars”

Hina Khan, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, has always been admired for her resilience and courage. Last year, she revealed to her fans the heartbreaking news of her stage three breast cancer diagnosis. Despite the numerous challenges, Hina has bravely faced each obstacle with strength and determination. In a recent conversation, she opened up about the harsh realities of her cancer journey, sharing how even simple tasks became unbearable.

During the interview, Hina recounted her struggles with severe migraines that would last for days whenever she left her scalp uncovered. She said, “Throughout my journey, I could not expose my scalp because I used to get migraines. The migraines did not last for 1-2 hours. Whenever I used to remove my cap or wig, within 15-20 minutes, I used to get migraine, and it used to continue for days.” The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress revealed that the intense pain forced her to remain covered at all times.

Hina also spoke about the physical toll chemotherapy took on her body. She experienced pigmentation and scarring, leaving her with visible reminders of her treatment. She admitted that she got pigmentation and a lot of things. She explained that she still have scars from those pigmentation. That’s why she has never posted any such picture. Despite her initial desire to share her bald look, her health condition prevented her from doing so.

In a heartfelt moment, Hina recalled an incident where she tried to inspire a worker at her house to quit chewing ‘gutka.’ Removing her cap, she showed him her scalp, hoping it would serve as a cautionary tale about the consequences of poor health choices. Hina revealed, “I removed the cap and showed him my scalp to make him believe the serious consequences.” The next day, the worker decided to give up the harmful habit, which deeply moved Hina.

The Bigg Boss 11 star further opened up about the extreme cold she experienced during her chemotherapy sessions. She explained how her body reacted to the treatment, making it impossible to stay warm. She shared, “I developed a condition where I was unable to keep my scalp open for even 10 minutes.”  She shared that she used to sleep in three quilts at night throughout her chemotherapy journey. she emphasized, “Three quilts, gloves, a cap, socks, and this is how I have slept throughout my chemotherapy. I used to shiver because I used to feel extremely cold. Due to this, I had to cover my scalp.”

Hina acknowledged that although she had promised herself to confidently flaunt her bald head, the circumstances made it impossible. She explained how she came to terms with her decision, understanding that her well-being was the priority. She admitted, “I felt that I shouldn’t do it as I was unable to keep my head open.”
