During the hectic shooting schedule, the actor collapsed on set, leaving his team concerned. He has now opened up about the cause of his sudden health crisis, revealing that he has been dealing with a slipped disc. The issue led to a severe spasm and unbearable sciatica pain, rendering him unable to walk.

Aasif shared, “I have had a slipped disc issue for a while, but this time, it got really bad.” Despite enduring discomfort, the actor pushed through the demanding schedule. However, the strain caught up with him.

After completing an action scene, Aasif attempted to rest but soon found walking difficult. Recounting the moment, he said, “I had a massive spasm, and the sciatica pain made it worse. I simply couldn’t stand or move.” Despite taking painkillers, the relief was minimal. The next day, his team supported him as he completed a scene that only required him to lie down in a car.

His director showed understanding and ensured the scene wrapped up quickly. However, Aasif’s condition worsened, and upon returning to the hotel, he had to rely on a wheelchair. He described the experience as embarrassing, though necessary. On March 18, he was flown back to Mumbai in a wheelchair for further medical attention.

Sharing his treatment experience, he noted, “Every alternate day, I’m taking injections, but until the swelling subsides, the pain won’t go away.” He has been advised to follow strict bed rest and undergo an MRI to assess the extent of the injury.

His family, deeply worried about his state, provided him with constant support. Despite their concern, Aasif remains hopeful about his recovery. Expressing his determination, he mentioned that he aims to resume shooting as soon as his health allows.
