Karan Veer Mehra is basking in the spotlight, having won both Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and Bigg Boss 18. After two decades in the industry, he finally feels like he has made a mark. Reflecting on this transformative phase, he admitted, “It feels like I’ve suddenly arrived after 20 years in the industry, something I didn’t feel earlier.” While the recognition is overwhelming, he remains grounded, understanding the need to strive harder to meet expectations.

However, Karan isn’t allowing this newfound success to dictate his choices. “I haven’t rushed into taking up random opportunities. I know what I’m looking for, rediscovering the actor in me,” he explained. Aware of how fleeting fame can be, he remains focused on his long-term goals. “I know this phase is transient. In a few months, a new Bigg Boss season will air, and people’s attention will shift. So, I’m focused on my goals.”

Acknowledging the impact of reality shows on his career, Karan pointed out that his characters brought him recognition earlier. “The adulation was there, but never as Karan Veer Mehra and to this extent,” he remarked. He credited his recent wins for opening doors to big production houses.

“Earlier, I would hear, ‘Haan bataate hain,’ but now I’m having coffee with people, and it’s making me believe that opportunities are within reach,” he said. Despite the success, he continues to attend auditions with a renewed perspective. “Earlier, if I didn’t get a role, I would think, ‘They don’t know what they’ve missed,’” he confessed. Now, he prefers to introspect on how he could have improved.

Karan also reflected on past missed opportunities. “I’ve missed out on big opportunities because I wasn’t mature enough to understand scripts back then, but I don’t regret any of it,” he admitted. Learning from his experiences, he now moves forward with unwavering enthusiasm.

Though his recent fame brought film offers, Karan doesn’t plan to limit himself to one medium. “I am not taking a break from any medium. I’m a performer and an entertainer at heart. I don’t segregate my audience by medium,” he emphasized. He teased upcoming projects, saying, “I’m in talks for a couple of films, and I’ve already finalised something worth the wait.”

Karan’s chemistry with Bigg Boss co-contestant Chum Darang sparked rumors. Addressing this, he shared, “There’s definitely a relationship. It’s somewhere between friendship and romance.” He explained their decision to move forward without the constant presence that reality show life imposed. “We decided to start fresh, without the baggage of being together 24/7,” he explained. The age gap between them is something they acknowledge. “We’re taking things one step at a time. At this point, we’re focusing on our work and being friends, seeing where it goes. We’re not forcing anything.”

Having endured two failed marriages, Karan spoke candidly about his views on marriage. “Kuchh bhi kar lo, marriage can never be foolproof,” he said, accepting the responsibility that comes with maintaining a relationship. He admitted to not investing enough energy in his previous marriages. “It’s too soon to say if I’m open to marriage again,” he said, leaving the possibility for the future open-ended.

Karan Veer Mehra’s journey is a testament to resilience and growth. From uncertainty to newfound fame, he now embraces opportunities with maturity and a renewed sense of purpose. While the world watches his next move, he remains steadfast in his belief that true success lies in persistence and self-discovery.
