This Friday, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, featured a star-studded episode. The cast of the upcoming film Vanvaas, Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and Anil Sharma,will grace the show. The spotlight will be on Nana Patekar as he takes the hot seat, sharing his stories, insights, and humor with the legendary host.

Nana Patekar, known for his powerful performances, brought his natural charm to the show. His lively conversation with Amitabh Bachchan included anecdotes from their personal and professional lives. Nana, who is admired for his intense roles, surprised the audience by revealing his upcoming comedy project, a sequel to the Housefull series. Speaking about the experience, he shared a light-hearted moment with Bachchan, joking about meeting Abhishek Bachchan just a day earlier during the shoot.

An audience member asked Nana about his iconic dialogue from the film Welcome, and he humorously recounted his initial hesitation to perform the line. He credited director Anees Bazmee for the scene’s success, saying Bazmee had to demonstrate the dialogue himself to convince him. He narrated the whole sory behind the dialogue, “Aloo lelo… kaanda lelo…” he said previously he was sceptical about the dialogue but the director reassured him and to his surprise it worked with audience.

While Nana’s humor had the audience laughing, his heartfelt stories left them touched. Playing for the Naam Foundation, Nana highlighted the pressing issue of farmer suicides, a cause deeply personal to him. His efforts to raise awareness resonated with viewers, further showcasing his compassionate side.

During the show, Nana reflected on his simple life in his village. He revealed that he prefers the peace of rural life over the hustle of the city. He shared his daily routine, describing how he cooks his meals, tends to his cows which is enough for gym, and spends evenings surrounded by books. He said he can cook really well. Jokingly he mentioned that once he had though if he couldn’t build a career in film industry he would have opened a small hotel. But he expressed gratitude for what he has got in his life. Describing the environment he said, “In the city, we have walls; in my village, I have mountains surrounding me, and I live right in the middle of it all. Itni aasan hai zindagi. There’s no alarm clock. The birds wake me up in the morning, and we even have peacocks visiting.” He mentioned that he comes to the city only for work and then go back to his village.

 Nana invited Amitabh to visit, saying his home feels like it belongs to everyone who comes there. He said that Mr. Bachchan said he works 12 hours a day till nowso he should come to such places that would give him peace. Amitabh Bachchan was visibly moved by Nana’s stories. He admitted to feeling inspired by Nana’s connection to nature and his uncomplicated lifestyle. The two legends shared a candid moment, reminiscing about their long-standing friendship.

One particularly touching story Nana shared was about a gift he received from Amitabh. Recalling a day when Big B wore a stylish shirt on set, Nana complimented him. Amitabh Bachchan told him that shirt actually belonged to Abhishek. To his surprise, the shirt was later left for him in his vanity van. He still treasures it as a symbol of their bond.

Another warm memory Nana recalled was from the set of Kohram. Amitabh had been distributing sweets, when he asked him the occasion he said, “My daughter just had a baby, main Nana ban gaya hu!” Nana, with his characteristic wit, joked that he had been a “Nana” all his life.
