The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 began with rollover contestant Anurag Chaurasia from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Anurag works in the government sector, where he plays a crucial role in helping farmers secure stable incomes through the MNREGA scheme. His dedication to improving rural livelihoods caught the attention of host Amitabh Bachchan.
In a light-hearted discussion, Anurag shared his fascination with gadgets and technology. “I’m the go-to person when my friends need help with gadgets,” he explained. Curious, he asked Mr. Bachchan if he too sought help with technology. In his trademark humorous style, Big B replied, “Not just one person, I ask many! But problems always arise at midnight.” The audience burst into laughter when he added that he relies on family members who stay up late, including his grandchildren and Abhishek Bachchan. He teased Anurag, saying, “Before you leave, I’ll need your number for those late-night hiccups!”
The conversation shifted when Anurag revealed his love for Ranbir Kapoor’s dance in Badtameez Dil. Mr. Bachchan praised Ranbir’s dancing, joking that attempting such moves would result in broken bones. When Anurag disclosed that he had danced a lot on this song during his hostel days Big B urged him to perform once. Anurag entertained the audience with an energetic performance on the song. And both agreed on the remark, “matakna bhi bahut bada art hai!”
When asked about his plans for the prize money, Anurag gave an unexpected answer—he wanted a lavish house with a jacuzzi, just like in the movies. Amitabh playfully teased him, saying it was the first time a contestant mentioned spending winnings on a bathtub. Anurag added, with a laugh, that his favorite actor Shah Rukh Khan spends a lot of time in the bathroom, so he wanted a similar setup with a bathtub and a TV.
Adding a twist to the show, Anurag asked Big B some fun questions. His first was, “Who is the king of your house?” Without hesitation, Mr. Bachchan replied, “Jaya.” The next question revolved around using KBC’s 50:50 lifeline in real life. Anurag jokingly asked what Big B would erase—working on time, heavy workouts, blogging, or constant hair touch-ups. Mr. Bachchan quipped that he didn’t want to use the lifeline, as all the options were still part of his life.
Anurag’s final question was about which movie character would be Big B’s best friend. The options included Vijay from Agneepath and Bhaskar from Piku. Mr. Bachchan playfully said he would befriend all four characters as he likes to make friends. He then teased Anurag for being 31 and still single, encouraging him to get married. He told Anurag that Ranvir has got his Alia now he should also look for someone. Anurag said once he gets financially well settled she’ll find his Alia, who might be wating for him somewhere.
When it came to the Rs 50,00,000 question, Anurag decided to quit, walking away with Rs 25,00,000.
The episode continued after a fastest finger first round, with Gracilla Giri from Darjeeling, West Bengal. Mr. Bachchan guessed her name meant “graceful girl,” but Gracilla corrected him, saying it meant “blessing of God.” A BSc Nursing graduate, Gracilla shared her love for local dishes like Gundruk and Sel Roti, which fascinated the host during a question on cookies.
The episode ended with Gracilla becoming the rollover contestant, leaving viewers eager for more.
