The popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 kicked off on August 12, with Amitabh Bachchan returning as the host. The first episode featured Utkarsh Bakshi, an engineer, who confidently answered several questions correctly but ultimately lost on a ₹25 lakh question due to overconfidence.

During the episode, Amitabh Bachchan asked Utkarsh a series of questions, allowing him to win ₹12.5 lakh. However, when faced with a question related to the Mahabharata, Utkarsh stumbled.

The question was: “According to the Mahabharata, which deity gifted Amba a garland and said that whoever wears it will be the one to kill Bhishma?”

The options were: 1- Lord Shiva, 2- Lord Kartikeya, 3- Lord Indra, and 4- Lord Vayu.

Despite using two lifelines, Utkarsh chose option 1, Lord Shiva, relying on advice from a friend during a video call lifeline. Unfortunately, this was the wrong answer, and the correct option was 2, Lord Kartikeya. As a result, Utkarsh lost the ₹25 lakh question and ended up with only ₹3.2 lakh.
