Pavitra Punia Opens Up About Breakup with Eijaz Khan: The much-talked-about relationship of Bigg Boss 14 contestants Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan came to an end earlier this year, leaving fans shocked. While both had remained tight-lipped about the reason for their split, Pavitra has now revealed what caused the breakup.
Pavitra and Eijaz, who grew close during their time in Bigg Boss 14, had expressed their love on the show and continued to date after the season ended. The couple, who seemed perfect together and even hinted at marriage, decided to part ways in 2024 after four years of being together.
In a recent interview with Telly Masala, Pavitra Punia indirectly referred to Eijaz Khan as a narcissist. Without taking his name, she shared, “Women look good when they are fragile, but when they are sitting quietly, you still ask them? If she is speaking to you gently, respect that. I want to tell every woman that if a man suppresses you, he is a narcissist. Don’t stay in such relationships.” She further added that she had tried her best to make the relationship work, but it wasn’t possible.
When asked if religious differences played a role in their breakup, Pavitra clarified, “No, there was no such issue. My family and his family were supportive. Religion and caste don’t matter in the industry, and our families understood that. I had clearly told him earlier that I wouldn’t convert my religion, and Eijaz agreed to it.”
Pavitra went on to highlight that the real problem stemmed from differences regarding gender equality. She said she felt as though her partner was trying to assert his masculinity and undermine her as a woman, which became a major point of contention.
The breakup came as a surprise to fans who were eagerly awaiting the couple’s wedding. Pavitra and Eijaz had spent a lot of happy moments together, and their love story was one that many admired. However, Pavitra’s recent revelations shed light on the cracks in their relationship.
With her candid statements, Pavitra Punia has emphasized the importance of respecting women and equality in relationships, urging others not to tolerate toxic behavior.
