The storm surrounding India’s Got Latent is far from over. Though legal proceedings continue, the nation remains hooked to every update. Months after the controversy shook the digital space, the creators involved are gradually easing back into their routines. Yet, Samay Raina, the show’s host, has stayed off the radar, keeping a low profile since the uproar.
Now, a glimmer of update comes from Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps. On April 16, during an interactive “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram, Ranveer responded to a follower who inquired if he was still in touch with Samay. His reply was filled with warmth and loyalty. Ranveer reassured everyone saying, “Samay will be back.”
He added that the testing times have shown them the value of true friendship. His words carried a quiet strength as he said, “All of us have gotten closer after the events. Stand by each other in good times as well as in bad times.”
Ranveer also acknowledged Samay’s influence and talent, calling him a “media legend.” He expressed his belief in divine guidance through this journey. His message ended with a note of affection and hope, tagging his close companions and writing, “Picture abhi baaki hai…”

This candid session gave followers a rare look into how Ranveer has been handling the fallout. When someone asked how his parents were coping and how he was managing mentally, his response was deeply personal. He revealed that the part that hurt him most was the impact on his loved ones. He said watching his parents struggle emotionally was the hardest part. Still, he admired their strength, explaining that their resilience is where he draws his mindset from. Ranveer admitted the recovery is slow, but his belief remains intact. “But God is with me, I know it,” he shared.
The controversy didn’t just hit emotionally. It shook up Ranveer’s professional world too. When asked about his deepest fear during this phase, he opened up about the people who work for him. He was worried about letting down the families of his teammates. Ranveer’s concern wasn’t just about himself. It was about the 300+ individuals who rely on his work to support their lives. He stressed that he’s still grappling with everything but pushing forward for the sake of those who depend on him.
Another follower posed a heavier question, what did he lose during the chaos, and how does he plan to recover? Ranveer didn’t sugarcoat the damage. He admitted losing several valuable things, “Lost: health, money, opportunity, repute, mental health, peace, parents’ contentment & much more.”
But in that loss, he found growth. He spoke of a shift inside him, a deeper resilience that’s beginning to form. “Gained: transformation, spiritual growth, toughness,” he said. He emphasised, “Will slowly work towards getting back everything that’s lost. Let the work speak.”
And as for Samay Raina, his silence may soon give way to a return. As Ranveer hinted, the story isn’t over yet.
