Rozlyn Khan has sparked controversy by questioning Hina Khan’s cancer diagnosis. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress has been open about her battle with stage 3 breast cancer, frequently sharing updates on her health and recovery journey. However, Rozlyn, a stage 4 cancer survivor, accused her of misleading the public. She took to social media to express her doubts and has been relentless in her criticism.
In her latest posts, Rozlyn again targeted Hina, mocking her activities despite her illness. She pointed out that Hina has been bungee jumping and scuba diving, sarcastically calling her a “Super Woman.” In a biting remark, Rozlyn wrote, “Bhaiyya ye to Rajnikant ho gai hain.. cancer inko nahi hua hai ye cancer ko ho gai..!” She continued by saying that Hina should attempt more extreme activities because she can seemingly do anything. Mocking the seriousness of her diagnosis, she added, “We need to start ‘biggest cancer award’ and it should be given to this legendary lady..!”
Rozlyn didn’t stop there. She argued that while cancer affects millions worldwide, in India, it has been glamorized, referring to Hina’s media presence and updates about her illness.
Meanwhile, Rohit Roy shared a heartfelt Instagram post on February 22, praising Hina’s resilience. Alongside an old picture from a Maldives trip, he wrote, “This is an appreciation post for one of the strongest girls I know… She’s fighting, and I’m sure she will beat it in due course. But whilst she’s fighting, the smile never leaves her face. More power to you @realhinakhan.”
Rozlyn lashed out at him too. She questioned the need for an appreciation post, suggesting that the choice of photo was inappropriate. Sarcastically, she wrote, “Appreciation post..? Aing. Bhai kya kar rahe ho?? Koi decent photo post karte, ladki ko cancer hua hai, miss India contest nahi jeeta hai.”
She had previously filed a defamation case against Ankita Lokhande accusing her of using abusive language against her while praising Hina’s Cancer journey.
The debate continues to divide social media. While some support Hina for her transparency, others believe Rozlyn has raised a valid point. The clash between the two actresses has added a new dimension to the ongoing conversation about how illnesses are portrayed in the public eye.
