Serious Injuries on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’
While accidents on ‘Laughter Chef’ may be shocking, reality TV fans are no strangers to such events. The stunt-based show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi,’ now in its 14th season, is infamous for the dangerous stunts contestants perform. The show’s finale airs tonight, and fans are eager to see who will take home the trophy. However, many contestants have faced life-threatening injuries over the course of the show’s history.
During season 14, popular contestants like Shalin Bhanot, Sumona Chakravarti, and Shilpa Shinde encountered horrifying accidents. Shalin Bhanot, during a “creepy-crawly” stunt, was stung by over 200 scorpions, causing his face to swell up so badly that he required medical attention.
Shilpa Shinde and Sumona Chakravarti had their own terrifying experience when they participated in a stunt that involved standing on a spinning roller while collecting discs. To make matters worse, live snakes were released onto them. A snake wrapped itself tightly around Shilpa Shinde’s neck, causing her to have difficulty breathing. The situation became so dangerous that the stunt had to be stopped, and Shilpa needed immediate medical attention.
Reality TV Accidents: A Recurring Theme
This is not the first time accidents have plagued ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.’ Throughout its 14 seasons, numerous contestants have suffered injuries that forced them to leave the show. Safety precautions are always in place, but the nature of these extreme stunts often leads to unpredictable situations.
Similarly, ‘Laughter Chef’ has also witnessed mishaps, most recently when Rahul Vaidya was involved in an accident while cooking. As he added tempering to a dish, flames suddenly flared up, dangerously close to his face. Thankfully, he escaped without major injuries.
