Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 came to its end after a roller coaster journey. Arguments, comedy, heart-racking stunts, and whatnot. The finale is nothing less. The star-studded celebration and Bharti’s humor make the air lighter. But the heat is intact with the difficult stunts. The finale stunts have already started. And Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the ultimate winner.
The top 3 contestants were Karan Veer Mehra, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Krishna Shroff. The finale task was the climax of the season with a combination of Water, air, and helicopter. Gashmeer went first for the stunt followed by Krishna Shroff and Karan Veer. And finally, Karan Veer lifted the trophy while Krishna Shroff became the first runner-up. Karanveer’s journey was a wholesome treat for the audience.
Just before the stunts the host, Rohit Sharma presented posters to all. Shalin Bhanot’s poster was ‘Showman Shalin’. Rohit Shetty praised his comic nature and applauded him for taking all the jokes positively on him. He said, “Shalin, tumne sirf stunts hi nahi kiye, tumne poori India ko entertain bhi kiya hai.” And they showed a glimpse of his journey.
After winning Karanveer said, “My approach was simple-treat it like a game and enjoy the ride. I was focused on being my competition rather than trying to outdo anyone else. It was never about beating someone for me. I just wanted to complete every stunt and be in the moment.” He felt that his biggest disadvantage was not watching previous seasons of the show, while his co-contestants were well aware of the show.
While talking about his co-contestants he said Gashmeer was a big competition for. Wand about sumona he feels she was an underdog. He said, “Sumona was like the underdog. She performed incredibly well, especially considering she was in almost every elimination stunt. She always bounced back, no matter how many times she was knocked down. It was commendable. She even lost an elimination stunt that involved electric shocks, something she had been good at handling. It was her birthday that day, and I felt really bad for her.”
Justifying the tagline, he continued, “Shalin ki quality yeh hai ki apne pe Mazak le leta hai vo. Toh Shalin sirf iss show mein nahi ho, aap khud ek show ho. This brought tears to Shalin’s eyes. Rohit Sharma also shared that Shalin had told him once that he used to work in a mobile shop at Lokhandwala. Shalin felt emotional saying Rohit Shetty still remembers this.
Shalin also said, “Sir, mai ek baat bolu, hum hasi Mazak karte hai toh acha lagta hai mujhe bhi. Ye shabd na aapse milna bahut badi baat hai.” Other contestants also got their posters.
The finale stunt brought a new twist to the show. Krishna Shoff, Abhishek Kumar, and Krishna Shroff went for the Water stunt as the finale task. While Shalin completed the task gracefully both Krishna and Abhishek chose to abort it. And Shalin confirmed his position in the top 3.
Sumona Chakravarti and Niyati Fatnani seemed very disappointed after this. Before the task, Sumona praised Krishna for her journey from getting eliminated to becoming a finalist. But when the pressure took over Krishna during the stunt Sumona was disappointed.
When Abhishek chose to abort the stunt Somona said, “Kaisa finalist hai .” Niyati Fatnani also couldn’t keep her calm and commented, “This is the finale,” and Sumona quipped, “What a waste of opportunity.” Nimrit added, “It’s sad to see this happening in the finale when we are standing here and clapping for them.” Sumona concluded, “Respect to all of us, we did whatever we could gracefully.”
After all this when Krishna and Abhishek Kumar went for the stunt Krishna went ahead with two rings and Abhishek got eliminated as he wasn’t able to put any ring into the pole.
After emerging as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 he stated, “I hope people remember me as the only Karan to win the show at my age. I also hope Rohit (Shetty) sir remembers me for my sense of humor and my ability to perform the stunts well.” He concluded saying, “I’ve always felt like a winner. This victory just opens up more opportunities. People want to work with me now, and it’s easier to connect with those I’ve always admired.”
